The Paris Saint-Germain Academy Pro Residency provides a professional training environment to prepare players for the highest level of football in the world.
The program and facilities are specifically designed to drive high-potential football players towards a clearly-defined goal: kickstarting their professional football careers. Throughout the season, student-athletes progress through individualized development as well as high-level exposure opportunities to top professional clubs and prestigious universities around the world.

For players interested in joining the Paris Saint-Germain Academy Pro Residency for the current 2024 – 2025 season, it’s recommended to choose the online tryout. The online application process is faster and players will get a prompt response.

will be deducted from your tuition fees.

In person tryouts are hosted at the Paris Saint-Germain Academy USA Campus (Broward County Stadium, Florida, USA). Elite-level international players born between 2007 and 2013 are welcome to try out for a spot on the Paris Saint-Germain Academy Pro Residency roster for the 2025 – 2026 as well as the following season.

Receive a Professional Assessment

In order to be eligible to enroll at the Paris Saint-Germain Academy Pro Residency, all players must go through the tryout application process. Student-athletes are assessed by the U.S. Recruitment Team Technical Director as part of the selection process to enroll in the Full-Year Pro Residency Academy.

When you reserve your spot, you will receive:

  • A professional assessment on the field with advice from the professional the U.S. Recruitment Team Technical Director;
  • An individualized performance report;
  • The Paris Saint-Germain Academy Pro Uniform Kit (Nike jersey, shorts, and socks);
  • A detailed presentation and overview of the program by the Paris Saint-Germain Academy Pro Technical Staff, Enrollment Advisors, and the Admissions Manager, to go over the highlights and advantages of the program, followed by a Q&A session;
  • Step-by-step guidance and personalized support during the entire application and admission processes and individual meetings with the Paris Saint-Germain Academy Pro  Enrollment Advisors.

Tryout Session

Attend one of the tryout sessions listed and receive professional assessment.

Admission decision

Student-athletes will undergo a review of their application by the Admission Committee, and within 5 days, will receive their decision.

Enrollment

Upon acceptance, student-athletes may begin their enrollment process to the Paris Saint-Germain Academy Pro Residency with support from Enrollment Advisors.

Frequently Asked Questions

The purpose of the Academy Pro tryouts is to select elite football players to participate in the Pro Residency program in France. All applicants who wish to enter the Pro Residency program must attend a tryout session and be assessed by the certified Paris Saint-Germain Academy Pro Recruitment Team for admission. It is an excellent opportunity to see if you have the level to play in Europe.

All applicants who wish to join the Pro Residency program must attend a tryout (either in-person or online. The Recruitment Team will only choose those players they believe are prepared physically, mentally, and emotionally and/or have the potential to compete at the highest level of football in the world.

The tryout has a cost of €229, non refundable.

Parents are welcome to watch their children’s performance from the stadium’s bleachers. Though they are not authorized on the field at any time, an individualized meeting will be organized with the coaches, and parents will receive a performance report upon completion of the trials.

You will be notified via email or phone of your admission decision within one week of your tryout date.

Claire Watts

Claire holds degrees in Archaeology, French, and Biological Anthropology from the University of Oregon, along with a linguistics minor and an SLAAT certification. She has been teaching in international schools and privately in France for the last decade.

Since September 2021, she has served as Head of the Humanities Department at PSG Academy Pro.

Simone Thompson

Simone is a native English speaker from Australia, residing in France since 2023. With over 10 years of experience in education, she has a diverse teaching background, working in schools, zoos, community outreach programs, and private tutoring.

At PSG Academy Pro, she utilizes her broad skill set to support students through tutoring and English lessons, helping them succeed in their core subjects.

Héloïse Evans

Heloise is a native French speaker, who studied French language and literature at University in France before moving to the UK.  While living in the UK, Heloise pursued a teaching qualification at Brighton University and went on to teach languages in a variety of schools in the south of England.  Heloise has 15 years of experience teaching students from a young age through to the end of high school as well as taking on pastoral roles.

Emma Newman

Emma is a British teacher with 20 years of teaching experience across all phases of education. Her background includes 10 years teaching high school and junior school in London, where she held Pastoral and Departmental Leadership roles. She then spent 9 years at a London university, training graduate and postgraduate students to become teachers themselves.

Emma relocated to France in 2021 and joined the PSG Academy Pro teaching team in 2023.

Math, Physics & Chemistry Teacher

Hans Kolster

Hans Kolster, from the Netherlands, has had a long and distinguished career in teaching. His passion for education started during his student years when he tutored mathematics, leading to a lifelong commitment to helping young people achieve their goals.

He served as Head of the Dutch School in Cobham, England, an institution created for Dutch expatriates in London. Later, he became Head of Mathematics at the British School Muscat in Oman, a prestigious British international school with over 50 nationalities.

Since September 2022, Hans has been supporting student-athletes at PSG Academy Pro in mathematics, physics, and chemistry.

Barbara Hill

Barbara is a native British English speaker with 20 years of international teaching experience. After earning her Bachelor of Education from Manchester Metropolitan University, UK, in 2005, she taught in the United Kingdom, Australia, and now France. She has worked in diverse school environments, including public, private, and international schools, as well as both single-sex and co-educational institutions.

Academic Director / Spanish Teacher

Leandro Cruz

Leandro, a native of Brazil, had a professional career as a football player before transitioning into education. With 15 years of experience in the French school system, he has dedicated his career to guiding student-athletes toward both academic and athletic excellence.

Beyond the classroom, he plays a crucial role in securing college placements for high school graduates, ensuring they successfully transition to higher education while balancing their sports commitments.
